Who We Are

Pine Creek Church is an assembly of Christ followers who have been rescued by God's sovereign love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The Lord has brought us together from various backgrounds and placed us into the life and fellowship of the good news about Jesus (A.K.A. "the Gospel"). We would describe ourselves as Reformed Baptists.  By this we mean that we affirm the "Solas" of the Protestant Reformation and that we hold to historic Particular Baptist doctrine so far as it is reflected in the Bible.  We seek to express these doctrines and beliefs in ways that are approachable to this generation and those to come as God wills.  A brief definition of the solas is available at the following link: The Five Solas.  Among the "baptistic" distinctives of our church would be belief in the baptism of professing Believers in Jesus by immersion in water, two offices-elders or pastors and deacons, two ordinances- the Lord's Table (communion) and baptism, and the autonomy of each local assembly (although we do believe in and promote fellowship and cooperation between churches).

We are serious about the person of Jesus, the Bible, the church, the ordinances, and the truth, but we are by no means uptight.  We believe that the same God who created our minds and the truths that they ought to embrace also created our emotions which enable rejoicing in the knowledge of the truth that God has revealed.  We are joyful in worship, serious in commitment, and seeking to know and love Jesus and to help others near and far do the same.
